About Josh
Joshua Bonas is a professional musician. He is currently residing in Encinitas, CA and plays several weekly shows in the San Diego area. Josh has over an hour of originals and over ten hours of covers spanning artists over the last fifty years! Joshua’s love of Popular music, country, soul, folk and rock have inspired him to cover a diverse array of artists from Willie Nelson and James Taylor to Sting and Dave Mathews.
Joshua’s childhood was spent in Nashville with his Mother who, as a singer in her band ‘Night Streets’ , earned herself a Country Music Billboard. Growing up around the stage, Joshua was singing along to his Mother’s songs by the age of two and moving on to performing in small SATB choir ensembles and a cappella groups in high school. Expanding on his love of singing, he settled on the guitar as his musical instrument of choice.
While the bulk of performance opportunities over the last fifteen years have made Joshua a fixture at many fine dining restaurants across the country, his creative talent as a songwriter and performer have landed him other fun music opportunities: from being a member of the 2002 Winter Olympics U.S. Ski and Snowboard House Band; to warming up the audience for such famous hipsters as INXS, Martin Sexton, and G Love & Special Sauce. In addition to being a frontman for his own ensembles, Joshua also gets the opportunity to backup several other artists including friend and stellar songwriter and Sirius Coffee House Artist- Lee Coulter.
