About A Seat At The Table
A Seat at the Table exists to bridge the gap between youth groups and adulthood by providing residential mentoring and community resources in a Christian family environment for at-risk 18 to 25 year olds.
The vision of A Seat at the Table is to surround at-risk and under-resourced young adults with much-needed resources within an atmosphere of a Christian family. House parents provide emotional support, structure and dinners around the table while also coordinating resources such as counseling, educational assistance, basic financial and budgeting education and vocational coaching (among other needs unique to the individual) as the resident moves toward independence.
About Liz Longley
Best known for her stop-you-in-your-tracks voice, Liz Longley is an accomplished singer-songwriter based out of Nashville, TN. With her deeply emotional music, Longley has earned accolades from some of the most prestigious songwriting competitions in the country, including the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship Competition.
Her self-titled debut album received critical acclaim, being described as “something more; a cleverness, a wit and a mix of musical styles” (Dallas Morning News) and “stunning” (HuffPost). Her follow up album Weightless, released in 2016, was praised as “a thing of beauty” (Pop Dose) and “packed with instantly memorable pop rock songs…” (Popmatters).
The Berklee College of Music grad worked alongside 5-time Grammy-nominated producer, Paul Moak, on her much awaited sixth album, Funeral For my Past. The journey of her self-release made music industry headlines when her devoted fanbase raised over $150,000 to help her purchase the rights to and independently release the album. Longley became the #4 most funded solo female musician in Kickstarter history – a story covered by Billboard Magazine.
About Barnaby Bright
Barnaby Bright, an alt-Americana trio, defies easy categorization with their unique blend of contemporary influences and a geographical journey that spans from Brooklyn to Nashville to Kansas. Drawing on Nathan’s Oklahoma roots and his distant relation to Merle Haggard, the band creates a sound that pushes the boundaries of indie folk.
Accumulating widespread acclaim, Barnaby Bright has secured a dedicated following who revels in their ability to weave storytelling into sonic treasures. Their presence on Amazon’s “Top 100 Albums of the Year” and the New York Times’ recognition of their Christmas record as one of the top 20 in 2020 further solidifies their stand in the singer/songwriter world. Their live shows take audiences on a captivating journey, delving into murder ballads, love songs, thought-provoking stories and deeply relatable themes.
Nathan’s virtuosic acoustic guitar and banjo playing perfectly complement Becky’s effortless soaring vocals over the mesmerizing drone of the harmonium. The recent addition of Carmen Dieker to the band has elevated their performances with haunting fiddle and violin-playing and rich three-part harmonies. The resulting blend evokes shades of Fleetwood Mac, Brandi Carlile, and a touch of Fleet Foxes. Audiences often describe their shows as a spiritual experience.
Notably, Barnaby Bright was awarded the grand prize at NYC’s prestigious Songwriter’s Circle and recently had five songs featured in the Netflix hit TV show, Sex/Life. As they continue to open for illustrious acts like Norah Jones and The Lumineers, the band captivates audiences, leaving a lasting impression and attracting new followers with each mesmerizing performance.
